Gertjan Meijer – aka Gert – was born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He has over 20 years of experience in the retail design and fixture supply industry, which ultimately brought him to New York City. Living in New York, he enjoyed a fulfilling career and an inspiring and exciting life, and then in 2020, he moved to upstate New York, where he decided to make a career pivot.

Throughout his life, he has had an interest in music, architecture, culture, travel, and art. He has a true passion for interior design and the fine art of making a home. A well-designed space brings him comfort, and he and his husband love sharing that with others. “I have art in my home because it is an expression of my personality and adds a lot of dimension to our living space.” These personal interests led to the launch of ARTEQUE, a company that specializes in large-format, high-quality art reproductions.

In partnership with museums and modern-day artists, ARTEQUE has been developing an interesting and diverse library of art, with a strong point of view. On their website, you simply pick your desired art piece and select the dimensions, and the piece is made to order and delivered to your doorstep within 3 weeks. ARTEQUE also works with businesses and helps curate specifically to their needs. Last but not least, there is a multilevel Affiliate Marketing program that enables ARTEQUE partners to create an additional revenue stream. ARTEQUE offers competitive pricing packages for its B2B customers.

For Gert, ARTEQUE is a cross-section of some of the things he loves most: interior design, art, travel, and culture.
