Tips on Transforming Your Garden
There is never a sadder sight than that of an unloved, unkempt garden. It’s enough to make anyone weep … well, maybe not, but still, they look bad and so something should be done about it! I’m making a stand, right now. Let me help you turn you garden into a place you can be proud of and want to show off to everyone passing by on the street.
Let’s Start with an ‘Easy’ One
Clear up some space. If you haven’t given your garden a little TLC in recent years then you might have a build-up of rubbish, from bricks to dead plants, from bin overspill to empty plant pots. Clear this away, cut back some of the encroaching bushes and Triffids and you’ll notice a marked improvement. Your garden will look cleaner and bigger. Once this is done you can start thinking about how else to transform your garden.
Good Flower Choice
One you’ve cleaned up the place, it’s time to put in some great flowers and plants. The flowers need to complement each other and you don’t want to go crazy. Little is more in my opinion. It’s sometimes nice to do a theme. For instance, for the flowers you might like to do red, white, and blue.
Get a Pool
This is my best advice and this is for two reasons: they look stunning and they are so fun! Now, I’m not going to ignore that pools can be quite expensive, however if you can afford one, really consider going for it. Talk to a company like compass-pools.co.uk* and see what they can do for you. With pools, you could get an infinity pool or even a garden paradise pool, it’s up to you, but they come in all shapes and sizes and so look around and see what’s out there.
You’ll Always Find me in the ‘Garden’ at Parties
Make your garden is a sociable one. Give it tables, chairs, parasols, cushions, fire pits etc. Make it a really nice place to be in the summer and early autumn. With a few well-placed pieces of furniture you can make your garden a paradise for parties.
Once your garden is looking lovely, with the above suggestions, it’s time to light it up. Get creative, there are brilliant garden lights for sale around the internet and shops and you can make your garden – literally – sparkle with these lights, carefully placed around the garden for optimum effect.
Try Your Hand at Landscaping
It’s easier than you think. In this context, all I mean is to make the floor of your garden standout in places. Don’t just have an expanse of lawn. Try having a tiered effect, or perhaps a slate or pebble shrubbery (my mind wanders to Monty Python’s Knights who say Ni).
Get on With it!
It’s not difficult to make your garden look good and it shouldn’t cost much. You have to be prepared to work a little, but in the end, trust me; it will all be worth it.
