Project Home #3: Let's Play a Game!
Cleaning, in general, just sounds dreadful. (At least to me, I hate cleaning.)
If you’re taking this challenge, I’m going to take a really wild guess that you probably feel the same way about cleaning or organizing. So, let’s play a game!
- A stack of post-it’s or a stack of scrap paper
- A mason jar
- Your worksheet from Project 1 (if you haven’t subscribed to the email course, subscribe below to get the worksheet)
Go back to your worksheets from Project 1. I want you to start writing down mini projects or ideas you had from your worksheets that can be completed in 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes on post-it’s. One item per post-it. When you’re done, fold up each piece of paper and throw it in your mason jar. When you are done, shake it up. (Go head, use your best Tom Cruise / Cocktail impression.)
When you’re done, for today, pick one piece of paper out of the jar and finish that task. As time progresses, try to do one per day. If you really want to get specific, you can color code your tasks based on each time increment, like having one color for 15 minutes tasks, another for 30-minute tasks, etc. Soon enough, you’ll start seeing the jar becoming empty and your home gets closer to your ideal home!
