Home Staging Business Models with Bobbie McGrath | The Home Staging Show S7.5

Welcome Back to Season 7 Episode 5!

On today's show, I'm interviewing a woman who needs no introduction! Bobbie is back on the show this season to talk to us today about home staging business models, challenges in the home staging business, doing occupied homes, consultations and mistakes she had made during her career. We had such fun talking on the show that we didn't get through half of the questions! So next week, Bobbie will do another show with us and share her expertise and insights as a seasoned professional home stager.

Some of the Qs I asked on Today's Show:

  • What are some of the business models in the home staging industry?

  • What does your business model look like right now?

  • How does doing occupieds compare doing vacant homes?

  • What can stagers do to book more consultations?

  • How about occupieds? I know that’s your bread and butter. Why do you love it so much?

  • In previous podcasts, we’ve discussed just doing consultations as a business model. Is that possible if you are new in the marketplace?

  • In your experiences, what are some of the most common mistakes new stagers make and how can they change them?

  • What are some of the mistakes you’ve made in your career that you would’ve done differently?

  • How different does your business look now compared to when you first started?

  • With all the different options out there, what is the best way to figure out what kind of services you should offer?

  • How about once they’ve established themselves, what are some of the things they need to look out for?

  • What are some of the things new home stagers should expect when they first starting out in the business?
